Taste Buds 116: Oh Orval! (Orval Trappist Ale)

From the Brewer (via Wikipedia): Often referred to as The Queen of Trappists, Orval was first made in 1931. It has a complex and unusual flavor and aroma produced by a unique strain of yeast. The beer is light in color, slightly cloudy, and has a large, foamy head.  There is a complex aroma of leather, horse blanket, spice, and many other earthy components.  6.2% ABV

From Us:   See what Dusty and Erik think about this authentic Trappist monk beer, one the most complex beers they’ve ever tasted.
