From the Brewer: Cody Christman is the 2009 Beerdrinker of the Year.  His homebrew headquarters in his basement is modeled after the Kloster Mülln monastery in Salzburg, Austria.   The beer sampled in this episode is an open fermented Belgian Dubbel with a dark fruit nose and flavor (raisins, plums, etc).  Be sure to check Cody’s blog about his adventures as the Beerdrinker of the Year.

The Beer Box Score

  • IBUs:  25
  • OG: NA
  • Hops: NA
  • Malts: Pilsner, Munich, Carmel and Special B Malts

From Us:  On this week’s episode of Taste Buds the crew travels to Golden, Colorado, home of  Cody Christman, the 2009 Beerdrinker of the Year.   Erik and Cody (minus Dusty this week) imbibe one of Cody’s many homebrews in his seriously cool beer cave. Plus, Cody gives some advice to home brewers just getting started and to brewers looking to change their game.
