These are the Show Notes and Comments to Taste Buds Episode #71. You can watch the entire show, including these show notes, by clicking here. (http://BeerTapTV.com/TasteBuds)

SHOW NOTES:

From The Brewer: Nothing. Their website talks a lot about how cold the beer is, and how cool the glass is, and how great the L.E.D. lights on the sign are... but not much about their beer. Wise choice.

From Us: Narrow, simple and uneventful. This is the Bud Light of Australian Lagers.

Just curious guys, do you normally drink one of the beers you are reviewing before the taping of your episode and then have another during the show? Or do you go simply with one beer with no prior sampling?

Reason I ask, it appeared as if you guys already knew what you were going to say about that beer even before you tried it. I assume that you had a bottle of that stuff right before you taped based on that review.

Or, it could be that you were enjoying a more flavorful brew just before taping this episode and it wasn't nearly anything equal to what you were reviewing.

In all of my many beer reviews that I've done, I've only been drinking something else only occasionally right before reviewing a beer. In those cases I found that my taste buds had been locked into the taste of the previous beer and was harder to give a fair full review.

Anyway, just a thought. With the exception of the Victory variety pack I'm going through now, I generally avoid lagers, import or not. I'm an ale fan. But I'm finding that the Victory Pils is a damn good beer.

You guys should come up to NoCo sometime soon. I've got some brews on the backburner waiting for someone to share it with. Let me know the next time you're up in NoCo or FoCo.
